Turn knowledge into action that strengthens your community. Come to the University of Kansas’ Salina campus for KU in the Community, a day of free classroom sessions and conversations with Jayhawks who are dedicated to bettering Kansas — and your future.

You’ll leave with useful information you can take back to your life, career, and community.

Free cancer screenings

You can visit the Tammy Walker Cancer Center (511 S. Santa Fe Ave.) from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 10 to receive free health and cancer screenings provided by the Kansas Masons, Salina Masonic Lodge #60, the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, and the Masonic Cancer Alliance (MCA), the outreach network of the University of Kansas Cancer Center.

MCA’s HOPE on Wheels cancer screening bus will offer free prostate and skin cancer screenings, take-home colorectal cancer screening kits, genetic testing education, and radon home testing kits (while supplies last).

This event is open to everyone. No registration or insurance required.
